Tom has 15 years of experience in clinical diagnostics across a range of organization types, including start-up, large commercial laboratory, major academic medical center, and non-profit research institute. Prior to joining SeQure Dx, Tom held a number of key roles and leadership positions at Quest Diagnostics, within the molecular genetics and genomics business areas. A selection of products at Quest under his leadership included Whole Exome Sequencing Plus CNV Analysis, NewbornDx, and AncestryHealth. Previous positions included various roles at the Broad Institute, Good Start Genetics (acquired by Invitae), Harvard Medical School and MGH.
Prior to joining industry, Tom completed his PhD in Biochemistry and Biophysics at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Tom went on to do a clinical molecular genetics fellowship at the Harvard Medical School, followed by postdoctoral research training at Harvard Medical School and the Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard.
